I was prompted to think about the way technology has advanced and was wondering what to expect next. Isnt it amazing how we've moved from VHS-DVD, Analogue -digital TV, radio-walkman, walkam- cd player, cd player- mp3,ipod etc. typwriter - computer , old style cameras-digital cameras, those massive tv aerials- smaller potable ones, landline-mobiles etc. Lets go down memory lane……..

Chizzy, you're right o. Sometimes I think of
the wonders of techno and I marvel.
Apart from going down memory lane,
I also wonder what it will be like say
in 50 years. Probably, rings wld serve
as mobile phones, since new products are
getting smaller and smaller.
< God loves me immensely (John 3:16)
HE thinks about me all the time. Ps.139:17-18
HE knows my name. John 10:13
Therefore, I am not anonymous to God.
Alleluia!!! >

this chizor eh... i actually came to this page cos i was wondering wot u meant by tek wotever... chei chizor...u shld dabble into advertising... lol

anyway, i can only imagine wot we wld have in like 50 yrs frm now but i am so sure by then computers wld be extinct and the sort of cars we have now wld be toys in comparison to wot we have...
already movies like, irobot and meet the robinsons have started givin us peeks into the sort of stuff we wld have...
just like back in the 90s when that movie abt that boy that went ino the future seemed so fantastic cos pees wondered if the things in them wld ever be real... but they r here and are even becoming obsolete...
that's why holding on like grim death to any material thing is folly on the highest level, cos one day, those things wld be archaic and new things wld be in vogue... :!:

any BTT,
was wondering one day abt the way computer has taken over many things, that some things are now programmed instead of hiring someone to do the work. wondering if there will be a time prescriptions will be taken via system without somebody putting them on the system.

Memory lane...

from floppy discs - CDs - ZIP Drives - flash drives

from 'washing' foto in a 'darkroom' to printing them off yourself in a digital self-service kiosk

from A-Zs(roadmaps) to Mapquest to SatNav

from friendly lady at the supermarket checkout to self service checkout (as an aside, although I'm very guilty of using these a lot because they are convenient, I find that they - and other forms of such technology are virtually making conversation between human beings extinct)

from 'bottle' glasses to contact lenses to laser surgery (I hear this one can reverse itself though so beware!)
Fearfully and wonderfully made. And then they threw away the mould

you're so right blackie. its funny how we forget all these things. Talking about the old cameras, i remember how we used to avoid exposing the films to light when removing them. lol!

Those a-z maps!! i never understood them. In fact, I refused to learn them.

How about telephones!! remember the old ones we used to use before the touch tone phones came out?
